Lightnin' Hopkins - Rare Performances 1960-1979

Lightnin' Hopkins had been playing for years when he was "discovered" in 1959 and became a truly influential bluesman. This collection of performances begins shortly after his folk boom rediscovery with the earliest known footage of the guitarist, captured by Dietrich Wavzyn, a German filmmaker. The performance footage covers 20 additional years including appearances on Boboquivardi (which features eight songs) and Austin City Limits.
